Local Authority Funding for Care

Your Social Worker can guide you through the process. Barakah Community Hub works closely with Adult Social Care and can support you once a referral is made.

The first step is a care and support needs assessment. This helps identify the level of support you require and the funding available to cover your care.

To arrange an assessment and apply for local authority funding, you will need to contact Adult Social Care. If you do not currently have a Social Worker, we can help you get in touch with the right team.

Once funding is approved, payments are usually made through your local authority or via a direct payment card. You will then be invoiced accordingly.

Under the Care Act 2014, all local authorities follow the same criteria when deciding eligibility for support. The amount of funding you receive is based on your needs, not your location.

Local Authority Funding for Care

Barakah Community Hub can also support you directly if you are making a private enquiry. You do not need to have a Social Worker or go through your local authority to access our services. If you already receive Direct Payments, these can be used to cover your support with us.

You may be looking for a change from your current service as your needs or circumstances develop, or you may simply be ready for something different. Even if you do not receive Direct Payments, we can still offer a place if you or your family are able to arrange payment.

To get started, please contact us by clicking on “Enquire Here” and completing the form. We will review your situation and discuss a plan that suits your needs.
